Grooms spending £300+ on grooming and fake tan!
September 30th, 2012It’s not just the bride who is under pressure to look good on her big day – grooms now spend £300 pampering themselves too, according to a new study.
Men have become so keen to look their best going down the aisle that 23 per cent have their teeth whitened, while 16 per cent opt for a fake tan.
And for some grooms, money is no issue as five per cent admit splashing out on a £1,000 grooming bill.
On a more drastic note, to impress the bride a staggering six per cent of men pay out on cosmetic procedures – such as a penis enlargement.
WHAT THE GROOMS SPEND THEIR CASH ON
1) Hair cut – 49 per cent
2) Professional cut throat razor shave – 37 per cent
3) Teeth whitening – 23 per cent
4) Fake tan – 16 per cent
5) Waxing – 11 per cent
6) Dance lessons – eight per cent
7) Plastic surgery including lipo, nose job, penis enlargement – six per cent
8) Eyebrows professionally plucked – six per cent
9) Manicure or pedicure – five per cent
10) Dye hair – four per cent
What’s more, all this effort comes on top of typically expensive stag dos, with the average pre-wedding bash costing £682 per person.
But, the research, by menswear retailer Jacamo, also found a disappointing 12 per cent of men don’t plan to make any extra effort for their wedding!

Kate Middleton loves faking it with Xen-Tan

Regular spray & fake tan for Kim Kardashian
July 2nd, 2012Kim Kardashian has admitted to having a spray tan nearly every two weeks.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star loves to maintain her sun-kissed glow and she is always pleased by the results.
”I have a spray tan every 10 days – I know I do it a lot but I love it. I have a guy called Jimmy Coco come to my house in LA and spray me. I don’t know what fake tan he uses but he’s a great tanner.”
The star also admits that she relies on fake tan, as she regularly stuffers from psoriasis, which is a dry skin condition.
”My psoriasis is flared up right now. It’s really bad and it’s annoying. I’m using Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs which is a wash off tan and is the only thing that works for me as it really covers it up.”
Big Brother Dowling, a little less fake (tan) please!
June 21st, 2012The new series of Big Brother is well and truly underway. Channel 5, the new broadcaster of the show have planned many major changes for the show.
The first major change is for the lead presenter Brian Dowling to have a slight de-tan. The Big Brother host admitted that the producers had asked him to tone down the fake tan levels he had been applying and go with a more naturally golden fake tan look.
“They are changing the look this year and it was suggested I could wear jeans. I said I would love to wear jeans…They then said, ‘You looked really brown’. So I have been told to be less Essex, more Chelsea. How that is relevant to the show I don’t know but, yeah, I have to look less brown.”

Fake Tan News: Kate Middleton a fan of St. Tropez?
June 11th, 2012Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge was looking amazing again for the Diamond Jubilee, last week. She was showing off a very patriotic red, white and blue outfit with perfect make-up to boot.
There have been rumours on Twitter of late though that she is a secret St Tropez fake tan user. Usually, Kate sticks to her brown smoky eye and nude lip gloss look.
A few fake tan “experts” have commented that her fake tan is suiting Kate very well indeed, and of course it is very unlikely she is maintaing that gorgeous golden tan in this weather!
